Privacy policy

Last updated · May 2026

This is the working privacy policy for Brightplate. The version below covers what we collect today, what we don’t, and how to reach us if anything here doesn’t match what you see on the site.

What we collect

Almost nothing on the public site. Anonymous visitors leave no first-party data with us — every page is server-rendered HTML and ships without trackers, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. Visitors who create an account give us an email and an optional display name. We log basic analytics (page views, referrer, device type) so we can see what readers are reaching for.

Cookies

One session cookie set by Supabase when you sign in to the editor. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.

Third-party services

Supabase handles authentication and the article database. Vercel hosts the site. Pinterest renders the Save button when you pin a roundup. Each of those services has its own privacy policy and we recommend skimming them if you care about the details.

Outbound links

Brightplate roundups link out to recipes hosted on other sites. Once you click an outbound link, you’re on someone else’s site and their privacy and tracking practices apply, not ours.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or delete your account from your settings page. Email us if anything is unclear.
